It made me what to look it up, but I could only find old references to it, including a NYTimes article from 2014, saying that the owner wanted to relocate the house to Japan and was looking for a new owner. Is the house no longer located in NY state?
It’s still there! The last owner shipped all the artwork and remaining treasures to Takamine’s hometown, where they’re raising money to build a museum. But the house is now being fixed after decades of neglect. You can see current pictures on Instagram @sho_fu_den
