Now I can't wait to get to the ending! Really loving this new novel of yours and feel so lucky to have an early read.
I've had so much synchronicity on my books. It's hard to know if it's the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon (a cognitive bias referring to the tendency to notice something more often after noticing it for the first time, leading to the belief that it has an increased frequency of occurrence), luck/chance, or some weird magical force dropping things into my lap. I tend to believe it's the latter. :-)
i LOVE this post. It came up in my feed like ONE MINUTE after I posted something very related to instagram. Let's see if I can share it here. Maybe it's true... there's no such thing as a coincidence!
Hmm... can't seem to make the image come up here. But if you read the text I added, (now below), you'll get the idea. Keep posting this awesome, inspirational stuff! PLEASE!
#explosion. This is weird. I walked to the post office and checked out the #phonebooth #littlefreelibrary nearby for the first time ever, looking for books in English. There were a bunch of pristine John Grishams- tempting! And there was one avant-garde #poetry book that was calling my name. The cover image kinda wouldn’t let me go. Where in the world had I seen this sorta thing before? Here it is! My own very first published book - print run, one copy - a book of poems I made in high school and bound with hard boards and blue polka dotted contact paper. It was for a Jan-term class. My teacher’s critique is folded into the end. I got a Pass with Honors. She especially liked my #circularassociations. And today I’m pretty psyched about this #circular #association myself. Now to read the rest of this new book. It’s called Beyond Words: Experimental Poetry and the Avant-Garde, published by #Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library. Clearly meant to land in my hands.
While I was reading it, I had no particular lightbulb moments. But I got to one example and thought oh, that's unusual. Then, a few minutes later BAM. So fun! How's your work going?

You’ll be only the second person to “experience” the end in action and I’m eager to see what you think!
Oooo! Hoping to read a lot of it on the plane to and from the HNS conference this week and then can't wait to talk to you about it!

Thanks, Nancy. Sometimes writing is a slog, and sometimes it’s wondrous!!
Well… yes and no. Haha!
Thank you! I'll be taking you up on that :)
I love this. I also found Rebecca Makkai’s endings series really good. Can’t wait to read your next version.

It’s going. On my fourth draft. Some days are good some not so much. I’m aiming to be done with this draft by summer’s end.
I'm happy to be a reader for you any time, at whatever level of detail is most helpful to you :)
You changed the ending????
Well, I added a pretty HUGE twist... so in a way I changed the whole book LOL
